Thank you Craig.
I am really thankful to you that you provided me with an explanation which is in real sense trust worthy and has now relieved me of the stress of that particular day's irrelevant talk to THE HOLY SPIRIT AND JESUS. In hearts and hearts of mine I know that subconsciously I was for Lord Jesus, I am and will remian for spreading the GOOD NEWS for HIM. May HE give me strength to fulfill his desires which HE believes to be done through me. Thanks agian to you Craig as you are spending your real time to help people like me who are many a times confused with many of verses of the HOLY BIBLE. AMEN!

Anil, thanks for your comment.

Please go back and re-read the blog post, especially the last paragraph:

Jesus tells us in Luke 6:45 that we speak from the overflow of our heart. The sin the Jewish leaders committed was to attribute to the devil the miraculous works of Jesus (that they personally witnessed). Their words revealed their beliefs.

From what you said in your comment, it doesn't sound like you have truly committed the unpardonable sin as defined in Mark 3:29. Specifically, you have not attributed the clearly-demonstrated works of God to the Devil. Your concern demonstrates that you are sensitive to the teachings of the Bible. And that is a work of God in your life! One of the schemes of the Devil is to try to derail our progress with God by enticing us to believe a lie about God or ourselves.

It sounds like he succeeded with you -- this time. The remedy is to confess (agree with God) that you took the bait (the lie that God wouldn't forgive you) and ask God to forgive you for believing the lie. Next, get plugged into a Bible-believing church so you can be fed the truth of God's Word and be encouraged by godly people.

However, the first step is this: confess that you have tried to find satisfaction and fulfillment in life apart from God -- and turn to Him to find forgiveness and freedom from a life of sin.

Grow in grace and knowledge,
Craig

Hi , the site holder and who knows about the real bible verses and understands it to that person my question is that I suffered fracture of my lower most part ofleft lower limb both bones known as bimalleolar fracture in orthopedics a day before Christmas last year 2011. Coz, immobility is must for lower limb fractures upto 3 to 4 months I was so much depressed that on 25 or 26 jaunuary 2012 I spoken desperately against holy spirit in abusive language and even that I declared that HE will also have to suffer like me.Though when I was uttering this my wife warned me that dont speak against the holy spirit. She is a true believer though I am not a firm beleiver a s she is. however harm has been done and later i relised that she was right because i commited the unpardonable sin as per bible verse and by naymeans HE is not going to forgive me in this earth nor in heaven. Please say your comments in truely way and not to console me about this.

Craig, you went into one of the most painful experiences of both our lives. The interesting note about Rick in retrospect is what he did with his life. Here is a man who earned a degree that didn't get used and never married. Yet from his volunteer work at the church he touched many lives over the years. My own children saw him as extended family. No one in my life had such infectious laughter. This just proves the adage that "the greatest successes in life are not measured in dollars and cents." Rick left this world a very rich man. He fit God's mold not the world's.

I just did a devo in Jamaica using the last words of 3:22 (NIV) "There is no difference..." loved showing that even though the world tries to put us into different classes based on (you name it) - when it comes to us and our sin & to God, there is no difference...

I have been in Rom 3 for a while each day..just meditating on the Words...great chapter so thank you for your thoghts and comments. I love it when scrpture gives us, "But now..." one of my fav's is in Ephesians 2:4: Verses 1-3 reminds me that I'm dead and V4 starts with "But God..." made me alive!

Thanks for the insights.
Blessings,
Scott

I really did enjoy reading that passage from Nehemiah yesterday. I especially loved 9:32-38. The people acknowledge that they've messed up, but God has been just and faithful in all His dealings with them. I think sometimes it's easier to say, "That's not fair!" However, it's not true. I personally have moments like that, when I'm facing consequences for my actions, but later on I realize that God could have been even harsher and He showed compassion.

Thank you so much for this post. This is one of the biggest reasons why we homeschool. I want my kids to know how big our God is. and most science programs make Him a footnote at best and a non-issue at worst.
