Bethel Baptist Church is located just off the Peaster Highway (FM920), in Northwest Weatherford in Parker County, Texas. Bethel was formed in 1975 and was soon planted on our current site.
We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, and the Parker Baptist Association in Weatherford, Texas. We partner with other local agencies to provide relief to those in need.
We are normal people who have normal lives, working normal jobs at the local hospital, bank, supermarket, college, and in the gas and oil industry. Some of us don’t work outside the home. Some of us are retired and some of us are students in the local schools and college.
You have probably run into many of us without knowing it… because we’re real people with real lives, real struggles, and real victories over our struggles.
In a typical Sunday Morning worship service, we sing traditional hymns and contemporary praise and worship songs that focus on the unchanging God of the universe and thanking Him for how He has made a difference in our lives. Most Sunday Morning sermons are topical, Bible-driven with practical application to our lives.
But at the end of the day, it’s not about us. It’s all about a gracious, merciful, awesome God who created the world we live in and Who is still involved in our day-to-day lives. He wants to be involved in your life, too!

Our pastor, Craig Beaman, is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He married a Texas native and settled down in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in 1988; they have two children.
Craig is passionate about connecting people to a life-changing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He often reminds us that it’s all about the relationship, not just “doing the stuff”. (Matt 7:22-23)
Craig has worked in sales as well as corporate training and e-learning. He served as an associate pastor in Fort Worth and has provided ministry support for Elevate Him Ministries and Fellowship of the Sword. In addition to pastoring our church, he designs church websites with his company, All-In Web Services in Fort Worth. He enjoys spending time with the family, writing, reading, hiking and camping.
